Adeleke’s intervention saved Osun from another communal clash- monarch
The Olufon of Ifon in Osun State, Oba Peter Ipadeola, has said the intervention of Governor Ademola Adeleke saved the state from another communal clash.
Ipadeola commended Adeleke for acting promptly to arrest slide to anarchy during a recent violence involving Ifon and Ilobu communities.
The monarch who said Adeleke’s quick response deescalated tension and restored normalcy in the area, pledged the commitment of his town to peaceful coexistence of all communities in Orolu and Irepodun local government areas.
He spoke in Ifon on Saturday at the 34th Orolu Day Celebrations and N5bn fund raising for the developmental projects.

He subsequently charged indigenes of the town to cooperate with the government for sustainable development, adding that all towns in the area must also collaborate and resolve to live in peace to prevent incessant security breaches.
“On behalf of the entire Orolu Kingdom, the Ilobu and Erin, we appreciate the governor of Osun State and his executive for the proactive step to prevent security breaches in our area.
“The quick intervention of our governor prevented escalation and we are grateful for that. As a town, we are demanding more attention of the government and we pledge to always live in peace and work for peace to reign,” Oba Ipadeola said.
