Troops nab two ISWAP terrorists, others flee
In what has been hailed as a well-coordinated operation, a combined effort of the Nigerian Army Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, Hybrid forces and the Civilian Joint Task Force on Thursday captured Two ISWAP terrorists who were attempting to cross their route around the Konduga Local Government Area of the state.
The operation which took place around 5 pm on Thursday was based on the intelligence report received by the security operatives on the suspected movement of ISWAP terrorists who were in high numbers, crossing the Sambisa route before the swift action was taken which led to the ambush of two of them, while others escaped the scene.
Available reports received by Arewa PUNCH further indicated that the terrorists were crossing the routes from the Sambisa Forest to the Alargarno Forest before they were ambushed by the joint forces at a strategic location in the area.

This was said to have led to an intense exchange of gunfire before the security forces overpowered the terrorists and neutralised some of them while two of the suspects were apprehended and the other members fled for their lives.
Items recorded during the arrest included one AK-47 riffle, a magazine containing five rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, three bicycles, and assorted food items.
