Bar. Nonye Uju Empowers Women Of Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency Women To Mark Her Birthday
Empowered The Disabled, Widows With Sewing Machines, Grinding Machines Bags Of Rice & Cash Gifts
The wife of the immediate past Federal House of Representatives member who represented Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency, Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima has empowered women from each of the 33 wards that make up the Federal Constituency.
The event which took place at Umuorji, Egbema, country home of Hon. Uju Kingsley had in attendance over 400 women. Among them were the disabled, widows, and indigent women.
Addressing the crowd at the well attended ceremony, Bar. Mrs. Nonye Uju, who was represented by HRH Ugoeze Ojure, DG Zara Uju Global Foundation, stated that the initiative was to
complement the efforts and vision of her husband, aimed at improving the well-being of the vulnerable women by providing them with necessary tools, skills, and financial support to enhance their livelihoods.
The women prayed for Bar. Mrs. Nonye Uju and her husband, Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima.
The hallmark of the event was the empowerment of women with brand new sewing and grinding machines, bags of rice, cash gifts, and souvenirs.
The beneficiaries were mostly widows, disabled and indigent from the 33 wards that make up Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency.
The beneficiaries took turns to express their joy and gratitude.
Mrs. Maryjane Nsonwu, a young widow from Otulu ward, in tears, thanked Bar. Mrs. Nonye Uju for the kind gesture and prayed for more blessings upon her and her family.
Mr. Okoro, a disabled from Agwa, prayed for Bar. Mrs. Nonye Uju and described Hon. Uju Kingsley is a man of the people who uplifts the lives of his constituents.
Mrs Gloria, a widow from Egbema ward C thanked Hon. Uju Kingsley and prayed that he keeps growing higher politically.
The event was graced by Hon. Heclus Okoro, immediate past House of Assembly member, Ohaji/Egbema.
