Ondo-decides: Hon. Kolawole Babatunde Sets up Advisory Committee to Support Gov Aiyedatiwa in Akoko South East/Akoko South West Fed. Constituency ahead of Nov. 16 Governorship polls
The Director-General of the APC Governorship Campaign for Akoko South East/Akoko South West Federal Constituency, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, today formally inaugurated the Advisory Committee constituted to support his role in driving a successful campaign for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s re-election. The event took place at the Governor Aiyedatiwa Campaign Office in Oka-Akoko, with party leaders and members from across the constituency in attendance.
During the inauguration, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde emphasized the inclusive approach in forming the Advisory Committee, highlighting that the structure reflects broad consultation with party leaders from both Local Government Areas, ensuring that the committee represents the collective interests of the constituency. He stressed that the Advisory Committee is not a Campaign Committee but is here to offer counsel and support in achieving our shared objectives.
Hon. Kolawole Babatunde took the opportunity to outline Governor Aiyedatiwa’s achievements in the last 10 months, particularly in road infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and security. He expressed confidence in the Governor’s vision for Ondo State and reiterated his commitment to securing a decisive victory in the upcoming November 16 governorship election. The Director-General assured the Committee members that necessary resources, including mobility and logistical support, would be provided to facilitate their assignments.
Comrade Sakara Titus Abiodun, a prominent party leader present at the event, commended Hon. Babatunde as a true grassroots politician and a bridge builder who has effectively unified party members. Additionally, the Political Adviser to Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice, who serves as the Advisor on Election Planning and Monitoring, lauded Hon. Babatunde’s leadership, highlighting his high performance on political indices.
The Chairman of the Advisory Committee, Hon. Suleiman Akeem, expressed gratitude for the appointments and reaffirmed the committee members’ commitment to supporting the campaign’s goals. He assured that the Committee would collaborate closely with campaign structures and stakeholders across the constituency to maximize the campaign’s impact.
On behalf of the Committee, the Secretary Mr. Adebiyi Babatunde gave the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation for the trust vested in them. “We are committed to delivering results and justifying the confidence reposed in us,” he stated.
Dignitaries at the event included Hon Mrs Adeyemi Mabel, SA to the APC National Woman Leader; Hon Elder Adeeko Emmanuel, fmr. Legislator Akoko South East LGA; Mr. Ayoko Israel, Chairman of the Kola Grassroots Network (KGN), along with other KGN members; Hon. Olabanji Amuda, former Board Member of Agric Inputs; Hon. Soji Fulani, a former Supervisor in Akoko South West; Mr. Ojo Ogunmolade; Mr. Aworuwa, and several other distinguished party leaders.
This inauguration marks a pivotal step in mobilizing grassroots support and enhancing Governor Aiyedatiwa’s campaign structure within Akoko South East/Akoko South West Federal Constituency.
