PDP Councilorship Candidate And His Brother Were Killed By Gunmen In Kaduna
Raymond Timothy Adai, the councilorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in the Pari Ward of Kauru Local Government Area in Kaduna State, and his brother James Timothy have been gunned down by gunmen.
Barnabas Chawai, a prominent member of the PDP in the local government area, verified the occurrence and stated that the brothers were shot and killed on Sunday evening, September 29, 2024, while riding their motorcycle back from a political campaign in Kizachi Village in Pari Ward, Kauru LG.
Chawai called on security services to take swift action and make sure those responsible for the heinous act are held accountable, speculating that the k!lling may have political motivations. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
“As the local government election on October 19 approaches, drastic steps must be implemented to prevent further recurrence.
“The wife was expecting a fourth child and the victim had three already.
John Wanneh, the Kizachi Village Head’s Secretary and confirmator of the incident, stated that they met the victim at approximately six o’clock in the evening and then parted ways to allow him to go back to Bakin-Kogi.
“We heard gunshots around some guinea corn farms not more than 10 to 15 minutes after we parted ways,” he claimed.

“To be honest, we are unable to identify the perpetrators of this crime or determine whether the k!lling had any political affiliations.”
He appealed to the government to help construct a bridge and road for easy accessibility in an emergency.
“Security operatives cannot enter the village now because of the bad nature of the road and there’s a river which they cannot cross, that has been our situation for long,” Wanneh lamented.
