PDP Wins All Chairmanship Positions In Enugu LG Polls
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has won all chairmanship positions in the recent local government elections held in Enugu State on Saturday.
The results were announced by Prof. Christian Ngwu, Chairman of the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC), who commended the commission for conducting a free and fair election. Celebrations erupted among the newly elected PDP chairpersons. Hon. Aka Eze Aka, chair-elect for Udenu Local Government, pledged to initiate a “massive agricultural revolution” and enhance infrastructure in the region. Similarly, Greg Anyaegbudike, who will lead Oji River Local Government, emphasized a commitment to youth empowerment through job creation and skills acquisition programs. Advertisements Interestingly, the absence of opposition candidates during the ENSIEC results announcement raised questions about the electoral process.
This clean sweep by the PDP aligns closely with Governor Peter Mbah’s agenda, reinforcing the party’s dominance and commitment to strengthening democracy in Enugu State.
