Nigerians can’t be united by mere fabrics, We are already united by Fuel price, Hunger, Hardship… – ELFON tells Remi Tinubu
The National leadership of the Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria, ELFON ably led by Amb. Godstime Samuel has critized the fabric unveiling exercise by Nigeria’s first lady, Oluremi Tinubu, describing it as a directionless misplaced priority.
Godstime who is the convener of Project Unity Nigeria, a national campaign initiative for promotion of unity, peace and patriotism said the firstlady would have injected more time and resources into national Orientation and poverty alleviation programmes than indulging in a mere fabric unveiling show that doesn’t translate to practical solution to disunity realities that Nigerians are faced with.
The money used in producing the so called unity fabric would have been used to produce 400million national unity exercise books to be shared to 40million Nigerian primary and junior secondary school children (10 books to each student) as school resumes. The new national Anthem and other educational intros can be scribbled at the back page of the exercise book, Godstime noted.
As far as Nigerians are concerned, it is obvious we are more united now than every by Petrol Pump price, Hunger, Hardship, etc, the Emerging Leaders President narrated.
