An Official visit by Special Assistant to Gov Aiyedatiwa on Emergency Response Hon Oriade Wellington Adebawo to Emergency Medical Services Agency (ODSEMA) to access the current state of the office Facilities ambulance and Staff
The ONDO State Emergency Medical Services Agency (ODSEMA) Office, located in Ilara Mokin and Bolorunduro, recently received a visit from Prince Oriade Wellington ADEBAWO, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response. This visit was undertaken to assess the current state of the office’s facilities, ambulance, and staff.
Upon inspection, it was observed that the office facilities were in a fair condition, with some signs of wear and tear. However, the ambulance service was found to be in a critical state, with only one ambulance available and no fuel to operate it. This renders the ambulance service inoperable, which is a serious concern for emergency response.
Furthermore, the staff numbers were found to be inadequate, with not enough personnel to meet operational demands. This shortage of staff hinders the office’s ability to effectively respond to emergencies and provide necessary medical services.
The key findings from this visit highlight the need for urgent attention to address the lack of fuel for the ambulance and the insufficient staff numbers. To address these concerns, recommendations have been made to provide fuel for the ambulance to ensure operational readiness and to increase staff numbers to meet operational demands. Additionally, providing additional training and support for staff will enhance their skills and knowledge, enabling them to better serve the community.
In conclusion, the visit by Prince Oriade Wellington ADEBAWO has brought to light critical issues that need to be addressed to ensure the effective operation of the ODSEMA Office. As the Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, his office will work to provide the necessary support and resources to improve operations and enhance the office’s ability to serve the community.
