NSCDC Arrests 2 For Illegal Mining and 1 For Stealing

Two suspects, Modashiru Nasiru, 18 years, male and Hassan Yaya, 19 years, male, were arrested at a mining site in Oke-Igbo, Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area in Ondo State on 13th August, 2024 for illegal mining; mining without license. Alao Segun, 40 years old, male, was arrested for stealing armoured cable, recline cable, and generator top cylinder all worth #3,345,000 at Araromi Street, First Gate Igoba, Akure.
The stolen items were recovered in his shop, and investigation revealed that he was a staff of the organisation where the items were reportedly stolen. The suspects already confessed to the crime and will be charged to court at the end of the investigation.
